Decision published: 20/11/2019
Effective from: 30/08/2019
Decision:
Pursuant to the Cabinet decision of 18 June 2018 approving the publication of a statutory proposal for the expansion and re-location of Lisburne School, and in accordance with the delegation made by the Cabinet, the Deputy Chief Executive has approved the following proposals, without modification, subject to the grant of planning permission under Part 3 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, by 31st December 2020:
• Increase the number of places available at the School from the current number of 109 to 208 for children aged 4-11, following the re-location;
• Re-locate the School from Half Moon Lane to a larger, newly constructed building on the former Offerton School site from September 2021 onwards.
The proposal was published on Wednesday 26 June 2019 and the subsequent representation period ended on Tuesday 23 July 2019. A total of five representations were received which largely repeat concerns about traffic and parking in the locality, which will be addressed as part of the planning application and highways proposals that are designed to mitigate any impact as part of the proposed new scheme.
