Decision:
The Director of Public Health has agreed for the Council enter into
a rebate agreement around prescribing a branded form of
Buprenorphine to appropriate substance misuse clients and
recovering monies already paid.
By signing up to this agreement it is expected that savings will be
made to the prescribing budget line within the Public Health
substance misuse budget. Prescribing will still be undertaken based
on the clinical needs of the client and other prescribing options
will still be available.
