The Executive Councillor (Adult Social Care) has approved the uplift of the home care hourly rate as detailed in section 4.5 of the accompanying report, effective immediately backdated to 3 April 2017.

The accompanying report was also noted, in particular emphasis on section 3 the Plan for Commissioning Home Care Services and section 4 Financial Assessment and Considerations.

The rationale for the decision is set out in the accompanying report.

The Area Committee has approved an application from the Friends of Cale Green Park to hold its Summer in the Park Fun day on 25 June 2017.

The Area Committee has given approval to amendments to the existing parking tariff in Bramhall Precinct Car Park as detailed in the table below at a cost of up to £1,000, to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Bramhall North ward allocation):-

The Area Committee has considered a report regarding the creation of an off street parking places order introducing permit only parking for tenants of the newly constructed Aurora Light industrial units and approved the following proposals:-

·         that an order be placed on the Gorsey Bank Road car park to authorise Permit only parking between 7.00am Monday – Friday

·         that the Order shall also state that the car park is operated as a Pay and Display Car Park on Saturdays and Sundays, and between the hours of 4.00pm and 6.00pm Monday-Friday with the tariff set at 20p per hour.

·         that the Area Committee be minded to approve a Traffic Regulation Order reflecting these proposals and approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.

The Area Committee approved an application from Rising Stars North West to hold a music and food event in Woodbank Memorial Park on 29 July 2017, subject to the production of the appropriate paperwork and the Ward Councillors meeting with the event organisers to discuss their concerns about the proposed finish time for the event and how the organisers were proposing to draw the event to a close.

The Area Committee has given approval to an application from Stockport Council’s Museums Service to hold an outdoor theatre event in Bramhall Park on 30 June 2017.

The Area Committee has given approval to an application from Bramhall and Woodford Churches Together to hold a service in Bramhall Park on 4 June 2017.

The Area Committee has given approval to an application from the Friends of Hesketh Park to hold their annual Summer Barbecue in Hesketh Park on 1 July 2017.

The Area Committee has approved an application from the Stockport Carnival Committee to hold Stockport Carnival at Woodbank Memorial Park on 22 July 2017, subject to the event organiser obtaining the correct paperwork, permissions, insurances, health and safety paperwork, and paying the appropriate fee.

The Area Committee has approved an application from the Friends of Cale Green Park to hold its Christmas in the Park fun day on 3 December 2017.

That the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration in consultation with the co-chairs be authorised to approve the proposed tariff change in Town Street and Longhurst Lane and that the Corporate Director investigate further the possibility of providing parent & child parking in the Brabyns Brow car park as opposed to disabled bays.

The Area Committee approved an application from Marple Runners to use Brabyns Park to start and finish their Carnival 10k on Sunday 18 June 2017 between 10am and 2pm with access from the site between 7am and 1pm.

The Area Committee approved an application to list Marple Ridge Quarry as an Asset of Community Value.

The Area Committee has approved an application from the Gatley Festival Committee to hold the Gatley Festival at William Scholes Park on 2 July 2017, subject to the organiser providing appropriate papers, event plans, health and safety documentation, licences and/or insurances, and the payment of a bond and all event fees.

The Area Committee has approved an application from the Gatley Festival Committee to hold a Race Night at Gatley Recreation Ground on 1 July 2017, subject to the organiser providing appropriate papers, event plans, health and safety documentation, licences and/or insurances, and the payment of a bond and all event fees.

The Area Committee has approved an application from the Gatley Festival Committee to hold a Comedy Night at Gatley Recreation Ground on 30 June 2017, subject to the organiser providing appropriate papers, event plans, health and safety documentation, licences and/or insurances, and the payment of a bond and all event fees.

The Area Committee has approved an application from St James’ Catholic High School to use Bruntwood Park as a staging point for a student sponsored walk around parts of Bramhall and Cheadle in aid of charity on 7 July 2017, subject to the organiser providing appropriate papers, event plans, health and safety documentation, licences and/or insurances.

The Area Committee approved an application from the Friends of the Vale to hold their annual fun day at Reddish Vale Country Park on Sunday 16 July 2017 between 12 midday and 5pm with access to the site being required from 9am.

The Area Committee has given approval to an application from theFriends of Romiley Park to hold a community fun Day at Romiley Park on 24 June 2017.

The Area Committee considered a proposal to introduce No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on Beaufort Road, Hollymount Road, Magda Road and Dial Park Road, Offerton to protect the junctions of these roads from inappropriate parking and a summary of the consultation results and approved the legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order as follows, at a cost of £700 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Offerton Ward allocation), and subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement date the following orders can be made:

Both sides from the South Easterly kerb line of Magda Road for a distance of 10 metres in a Southerly direction.

Both sides from the Northerly kerb line of Dial Park Road for a distance of 10 metres in a North Easterly direction.

Hollymount Road

Both sides from the North Easterly kerb line of Magda Road for a distance of 10 metres in a North Westerly direction.

Magda Road

North Westerly side from a point 10 metres South West of the South Westerly kerb line of Hollymount Road to a point 10 metres North East of the North Easterly kerb line of Hollymount Road.

South Easterly side from a point 10 metres South West of the Westerly kerb line of Beaufort Road to a point 10 metres North East of the Easterly kerb line of Beaufort Road.
