The Executive Councillor (Transportation) has approved traffic regulation orders associated with the implementation of electric car charging points in Stockport Town Centre.

The locations, of the first phase of charging points, have been identified around Stockport Town Centre as:-

• On –street parking bays on Edward Street (Opposite Fred Perry House)
• On-street parking bays on St Petergate.
• On-street parking bays Chestergate (Near the Air Raid Shelters/end of the taxi rank)
