13/04/2016 - Valuer Appointment

The Chief Executive in consultation with the Executive Councillors (Support and Governance and Thriving Economy) has approved the appointment of Colliers to undertake valuation work of specific assets for the Council.


13/04/2016 - Contractor Appointment Aurora Stockport - Tender Award

The Chief Executive in consultation with the Executive Councillors (Support & Governance and Thriving Economy) has approved the acceptance of the single stage JCT Design and Build Contract tender from Seddon Construction Ltd for the construction of the Aurora Stockport scheme and for authority to execute any necessary letter of intent pending resolution of the final contract to maintain progress.


12/04/2016 - Aurora (formerly Gorsey Bank) Appropriation of Land

The Chief Executive (in consultation with the Executive Councillors for Support and Governance and Thriving Economy) has approved the appropriation of the land shown on the attached plan to Planning Purposes in order to utilise the power contained in Section 237 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended).


31/07/2015 - Gorsey Bank Development

Further to the decision of the Executive on 30 September 2014, the Corporate Directors for Corporate and Support Services and for Place Management and Regeneration, in consultation with Executive Councillors (Support & Governance) and (Thriving Economy) have approved the progression of the proposed development and letting of the Gorsey Bank site, Stockport for 144,000 dq ft approximately of B8 space funded from prudential borrowing as originally envisaged by the outline business case and as confirmed by the Full Business Case.

01/10/2014 - Gorsey Bank Development (CCCS21)

The Executive Meeting considered the outcome of an exercise to assess the redevelopment options for the Gorsey Bank site in Cheadle Heath and then

 

·                agreed in principle to proceed with the development;

·                approved the funding for the necessary works to submit a full planning application and complete the Final Business Case as set out in the report;

·                approved in principle for the use of Prudential Borrowing to finance the development, with authority delegated to the Corporate Directors for Place Management & Regeneration and for Corporate and Support Services, in consultation with the Executive Councillors (Corporate, Customer & Community Services) and (Economic Development & Regeneration) to:

·         progress with any necessary scheme and building design and, with the assistance of the Council’s Strategic Property Partner, proceed with the procurement of suitable contractors and partners to deliver the proposals;

·         agree the further procurement of consultants as may be required to deliver the scheme; and,

·         take any action needed to resolve any issues that may hinder the delivery of this site within the planned budget.
