To consider a report of the Corporate Director for People.

A representative of the Corporate Director, Services to People submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) in relation to:

a)    The Fair access Protocol and Arrangements for Permanently Excluded Pupils during the academic Year 2013/14;

b)    Admissions and Independent Appeals for primary and secondary schools.

A member of the Forum suggested that further work was required to explain to parents the application of the equal preference scheme on school selection as this was not understood by many.

RESOLVED – That the report be noted.
