Plan no. 54017 for the construction of a two storey 3 bedroom Passiv Haus on land adjacent to 40 Alexandra Road, Stockport, including demolition of existing garage and associated external landscaping and provision of new parking spaces, as he was known to the applicant. Councillor Fitzpartick left the meeting during consideration of this item and took no part in the discussion or vote.

Exclusion of the Public and the Public Interest Test

To consider whether it is in the public interest to exclude the public during the consideration of the ‘not for publication’ appendix to agenda item 7 (vii) regarding Development Application DC050437  ‘Residential development for up to 168 dwellings with open space, access and associated infrastructure (outline) on land off Europa Way, Bridgehall, Adswood’ which contains information ‘not for publication’ by virtue of Category 3 ‘Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority)’ as set out in the Local Government Act 1972.

RESOLVED – That, in order to prevent the disclosure of ‘information not for publication’ by virtue of paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), the disclosure of which would not be in the public interest, would breach data protection principals and would not be fair to the applicant, the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the ‘not for publication’ appendix to Plan no. 50437 ‘Land off Europa Way, Bridgehall, Adswood’.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) detailing a recommendation made by the Visiting Team following a visit on Monday, 17 February 2014 to 40 Alexandra Road, Heaton Norris, Stockport in relation to plan no. 54017.

Minutes:

A representative of the Council Solicitor submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) summarising recent appeal decisions, listing current planning appeals and dates for local inquiries and informal hearings according to area committees. 

 

A representative of the Council Solicitor reported that there was a further appeal not included in the report relating to land at Heathcote Road, Heaton Moor that would be determined on written representations.

 

RESOLVED – (1) That the report be noted.

 

(2) A representative of the Council Solicitor be requested to clarify the area committee to which the George and Dragon Public House, 422 Manchester Road, Heaton Chapel, related and to ensure that this was correctly reflected in future reports.
