A representative of the Deputy Chief Executive submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) summarising recent appeal decisions, listing current planning appeals and dates for local inquiries and informal hearings according to area committees.

 

The representative of the Deputy Chief Executive provided the following updates to the report:-

 

·         The appeal against the refusal of planning permission for the construction of a split level residential block to form 22 apartments at 32036 Lower Hillgate had been dismissed.

·         Appeals had been received with regard to enforcement notices served on land at Raisbeck Road (former Dialstone Centre), Offerton; land at Hillside Farm, Werneth Low Road, Romiley; and land at Further Hey, 41 Werneth Road Woodley.

·         An appeal had now been submitted to the Planning Inspector with regard to the refusal of planning permission for the erection of a new school and the erection of up to 325 dwellings at the Seashell Trust, 160 Stanley Road, Heald Green.

 

RESOLVED – (1) That the report be noted.

 

(2) That Councillors Brian Bagnall and Philip Harding be nominated to attend the planning appeal against the refusal of planning permission with regard to the site at the Seashell Trust, 160 Stanley Road, Heald Green.
