Minutes:

The Chair reported that Planning Application DC054388 – Land East of Vale Road, Heaton Mersey had been withdrawn by the applicant.

The Chair explained that the application had been withdrawn following a meeting with officers at the request of the applicants’ agent where the agent confirmed that he had advised his client to formally withdraw the application. All reasonable steps had been undertaken to inform interested parties. The application could not therefore be debated by the Area Committee.

He reminded the Area Committee that the proposal could be resubmitted by the applicant at any time or alternatively the applicant may choose to pursue this site through the allocations process of the development plan and that should Councillors wish to make comments in respect of the proposal they are advised to refer to the Code of Conduct and the revised position in respect of pre-determination rules before doing so.

RESOLVED – That the report be noted.
