To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration.

 

The report details a proposal for the introduction of a “No Waiting At Any Time” Traffic Regulation Order on Howard Close, Romiley following concerns raised by residents and motorists due to inconsiderate parking at the junction of Green Lane/ Howard Close. Motor vehicles were parking too close to the junction reducing visibility, causing a safety concern for motorists negotiating the junction.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to give approval to the following Traffic Regulation Order. and subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders, at a cost of £760 to be funded form the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Bredbury Green & Romiley ward allocation):-

Howard Close (Both sides) - From the intersection of the northern kerb line of Green Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction

 

Green Lane (North Side) - From a point 9 metres west of the projected western kerb line of Howard Close, for a distance of 22 metres in a south easterly direction.

A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) detailing a proposal for the introduction of a ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ Traffic Regulation Order on Howard Close, Romiley following concerns raised by residents and motorists due to inconsiderate parking at the junction of Green Lane/ Howard Close. Motor vehicles were parking too close to the junction reducing visibility, causing a safety concern for motorists negotiating the junction.

 

RESOLVED – That approval be given to the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Orders, and subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders, at a cost of £760 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Bredbury Green & Romiley ward allocation):-
