To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

 

The report sets out the result of an investigation into the difficulties caused by parked vehicles in the vicinity of Carnarvon Street and Glenmoor Road.

 

The Area Committee is requested to approve the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order detailed in the report and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Deputy Chief Executive submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the result of an investigation into the difficulties caused by parked vehicles in the vicinity of Carnarvon Street and Glenmoor Road, Offerton.

 

RESOLVED – (1) The Area Committee was minded to approve the following Traffic Regulation Order on Glenmoor Road, Offerton, at an approximate cost of £910 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Manor Ward allocation):-

 

Proposed Traffic Regulation Order – No Waiting At Any Time

 

Glenmoor Road

 

North east side - from a point 10 metres north west of the north westerly kerbline of Carnarvon Street to a point 10 metres south east of the south easterly kerbline of Carnarvon Street.

 

Glenmoor Road

 

South west side - from a point 10 metres north west of the north westerly kerbline of Lyngate Close to a point 10 metres south east of the south easterly kerbline of Lyngate Close.

 

Lyngate Close

 

Both sides - from the south westerly kerbline of Glenmoor Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south westerly direction.

 

Carnarvon Street

 

Both sides - from the north easterly kerbline of Glenmoor Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north easterly direction and from a point 5 metres south west of the south westerly kerbline of Athens Street for a distance of 5 metres in a south westerly direction.

 

Proposed Traffic Regulation Order – No Waiting Monday to Friday 8am-6pm

 

Carnarvon Street

 

North west side - from a point 10 metres north east of the north easterly kerbline of Glenmoor Road for a distance of approximately 33.5 metres in a north easterly direction.

 

(2) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
