To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

 

The report sets out the findings of a consultation exercise for Road Safety around School – Westmorland Primary School and seeks approval to the introduction of Traffic Regulation Orders, associated signage, dropped kerbs and pencil bollards.

 

The Area Committee is requested to recommend the Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing to approve the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order detailed in the report and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Deputy Chief Executive submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the findings of a consultation exercise for road safety around Westmorland Primary School and sought approval to the introduction of Traffic Regulation Orders, associated signage, dropped kerbs and pencil bollards.

 

RESOLVED – That the Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing be recommended to approve the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order detailed in the report at an approximate cost of £7,000 to be funded from the Road Safety around Schools 2018-19 programme budget allocation and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
