To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration.

 

The report details a proposal resolve an anomaly with regard Restricted Waiting on parts of Green Lane in Romiley to consolidate all waiting restrictions on that part of Green Lane to operate Monday-Friday.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to given approval to the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Orders and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders to be funded from the executive budget:-

 

Revoke No Waiting Monday to Saturday 8am – 6pm:

 

Green Lane - West side from a point level with the Northerly property line of Spartan House in a Southerly direction for a distance of 34 metres to the entrance at Kimberley House.

 

Green Lane - East side from a point 4.5 metres North of the (projected) Northerly property line of Spartan House in a Southerly direction for a distance of 41 metres to the junction at The Tang.

 

Introduce No Waiting Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm:

 

Green Lane - West side from a point level with the Northerly property line of Spartan House in a Southerly direction for a distance of 34 metres to the entrance at Kimberley House.

A representative of the Deputy Chief Executive submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) detailing a proposal resolve an anomaly with regard Restricted Waiting on parts of Green Lane in Romiley to consolidate all waiting restrictions on that part of Green Lane to operate Monday-Friday.

 

It was commented that there were ongoing building works to develop residential properties on that part of Green Lane affected by these proposals, and that consideration should be given to the impact of these restrictions on those properties once built out.

 

RESOLVED – That consideration of this item be deferred pending the completion of the residential development on that part of Green Lane affected by the proposed waiting restrictions.
