Minutes:

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) detailing a proposal to amend an existing ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ traffic regulation order on St Christophers Drive, Bredbury.

It was commented that the Area Committee should not be required to allocated additional funding for the scheme from its Delegated Budget to remedy an error in the drafting of the original order and that the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration should investigate alternative sources of funding for this scheme.

RESOLVED – (1) That approval be given to the legal advertising of the following traffic regulation orders, and subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders at a cost of £560 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Bredbury Green & Romiley ward allocation):-

No Waiting At Any Time

Barrack Hill - From a point 18 metres of the south kerbline  at the intersection of St Christophers Drive, to a point of 30 metres north east from the intersection of the northern kerb line of St Christophers Drive

St Christophers Drive  (Both Sides) - From the intersection of the north eastern kerb line of Barrack Hill, for a distance of 20 metres in a north easterly direction.

(2) That the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration be requested to identify alternative sources of funding for the scheme to minimise the impact of the proposed scheme on the resources available to the Area Committee through its Delegated Budget in the light of the error in the drafting of the original order.
