To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration.

 

The report sets out proposals for No Waiting at any Time restrictions on Norbury Crescent in Hazel Grove to help alleviate problems with inappropriate parking on the footway.

 

The Area Committee is asked to approve Part I of the schedule and recommend that the Cabinet Member for Communities & Housing approve Part II of the schedule below, at a cost of £650 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Stepping Hill Ward allocation)

 

Part I

 

No Waiting at Any Time:

Norbury Crescent

 

North Easterly side from a point 15 metres North West of the North Westerly kerb line of Chester Road in a North Westerly direction following the kerb line to a point level with the Southerly boundary line of property No. 1.

 

South Westerly side from a point 43 metres North West of the North Westerly kerb line of Chester Road in a North Westerly direction following the kerb line to a point level with the Southerly boundary line of property No. 1.

 

Part II

 

No Waiting at Any Time:

Norbury Crescent

 

Both sides from a point 10 metres North West of the North Westerly kerb line of Chester Road for a distance of 5 metres in a North Westerly direction.

A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) inviting the Area Committee to consider proposals to introduce parking restrictions on Norbury Crescent in order to reduce inappropriate parking and improve accessibility.

 

RESOLVED – (1) That the Cabinet Member for Communities & Housing be recommended to approve the proposals as set out in the report, and be authorised to approve those elements within the Area Committee’s delegation.

 

(2) That approval be given to the funding of the proposals from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Stepping Hill Ward allocation) at a £650.
