The report seeks approval for funds for a feasibility study to look at installing traffic calming features in the form of 'Give way' priority chicanes to slow down traffic on Highgrove Road, Cheadle.

The Area Committee is recommended to approve the funding for the feasibility study.

A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) seeking approval for funds for a feasibility study to look at installing traffic calming features in the form of ‘Give Way’ priority chicanes to slow down traffic on Highgrove Road, Cheadle.

RESOLVED – That approval be given to the undertaking of a feasibility study to investigate proposals to install traffic calming features in the form of ‘Give Way’ priority chicanes to slow down traffic and for a utilities search to be carried out on Highgrove Road, Cheadle, at an approximate cost of £1,000 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Cheadle and Gatley Ward allocation).
