To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

 

The report sets out a proposal implement a Traffic Regulation Order to convert the existing free resident permit parking scheme on Thomson Street, Stockport to a chargeable scheme.

 

The Area Committee is recommended the Cabinet Member for communities and Housing to approve the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order detailed in the report and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) setting out a proposal to implement a Traffic Regulation Order to convert the existing free resident permit parking scheme on Thomson Street, Stockport to a chargeable scheme.

 

RESOLVED – (1) That the Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing be recommended to approve the statutory legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Order at an approximate cost of £1,750 to be funded from the Parking Budget and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made:-

 

Proposed Revocation Traffic Regulation Order - Resident Permit Holders only

 

Thomson Street, Stockport - north west side from a point 10 metres south west of the south westerly kerbline of Frances Street to the north easterly kerbline of Hope Terrace

 

Proposed Traffic Regulation Order - Resident Permit Holders only

 

Thomson Street, Stockport- north west side from a point 10 metres south west of the south westerly kerbline of Frances Street for a distance of 38 metres in a south westerly direction, and from a point 58 metres south west of the south westerly kerbline of Frances Street for a distance of 113 metres in a south westerly direction.
