To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration.

The report details a proposal for the introduction of ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ Traffic Regulation Orders on Cherry Tree Lane and Compstall Road following concerns from residents regarding safety issues due to vehicles parking at the junction causing visibility issues for motorists entering and exiting Cherry Tree Lane onto Compstall Road.

The Area Committee is recommended to give approval to the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the Orders at a cost of £700 to be funded from a developer contribution.

Proposed No Waiting at Any Time

Compstall Road (South) - From a point 24 metres of the western kerbline  of the intersection of Cherry Tree Lane, to a point of 32 metres east from the intersection of the southern kerb line of Cherry Tree Lane.

Cherry Tree Lane (Both Sides) - From the intersection of the southern kerbline of Compstall Road, for a distance of 22 metres in a south easterly direction.

RESOLVED – That the Cabinet Member for Communities & Housing be recommended to give approval to the legal advertising of the following Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the Orders at a cost of £700 to be funded from a developer contribution.
