To consider a report of the Corporate Director for People.

The report provides an update to the Children and Families Scrutiny Committee on the support offered to current and former members of the armed forces, reservists and their families as part of our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Scrutiny Committee are invited to consider and comment on the report.

A representative of the Corporate Director for People submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) providing an update offered to current and former members of the armed forces, reservists and their families as part of the Council’s commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant.

Councillors asked for further information in respect to the application of the covenant and in particular if there was a time limit for the period in which former members of the armed forces, reservists and their families can benefit from it.

RESOLVED – That the report be noted.
