To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

 

The report sets out the findings of a consultation exercise into inconsiderate parking on the narrow section of St. Ives Avenue leading to the residential properties and seeks approval for the introduction of a Traffic Regulation Order.

 

The Area Committee is requested to approve the statutory legal advertising of the No Waiting At Any Time Traffic Regulation Order detailed in the report and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the order can be made.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the findings of a consultation exercise into inconsiderate parking on the narrow section of St. Ives Avenue, Cheadle leading to the residential properties and seeking approval to the introduction of a Traffic Regulation Order.

 

RESOLVED – (1) That the Area Committee be minded to approve the following Traffic Regulation Order on St Ives Avenue and St David’s Road, Cheadle at an approximate cost of £750 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Cheadle Hulme North Ward allocation):-

 

St Ives Avenue – No Waiting at Any Time

 

North Side – From the intersection point of the northern kerb line and the western kerb line of St David’s Road, for a distance of 23.5 metres in a westerly direction.

 

South Side – From the intersection point of the southern kerb line and the western kerb line of St David’s Road, for a distance of 27metres in a westerly direction.

 

St David’s Road – No Waiting at Any Time

 

West Side – From a point 10 metres north of the intersection of its northern kerb line of St Ives Avenue, to a point 10 metres south of the southern kerb line of St Ives Avenue.

 

(2) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation  Order and, subject to no objections being received twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
