To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

 

The report sets out the findings of a consultation exercise into inconsiderate parking at the Whitegates Road/Ashfield Road junction.

 

The Area Committee is requested to approve the statutory legal advertising of the No Waiting At Any Time Traffic Regulation Order detailed in the report and, subject to no objections being received the statutory period, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the findings of a consultation exercise into inconsiderate parking at the junction of Whitegates Road and Ashfield Road, Gatley.

 

RESOLVED – (1) That the Area Committee be minded to approve the following No Waiting At Any Time Traffic Regulation Order on Whitegates Road and Ashfield Road, Gatley at an approximate cost of £750 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Cheadle and Gatley Ward allocation):-

 

Whitegates Road, Cheadle – No Waiting at Any Time

 

Both Sides – From a point 13.5 metres west of the intersection of the western kerb line of Ashfield Road, to a point 13 metres east of the intersection of the eastern kerb line of Ashfield Road.

 

Ashfield Road, Cheadle (South of Whitegates Road) – No Waiting at Any Time

 

Both Sides – From the intersection of the southern kerb line of Whitegates Road, for a distance of 11.5 metres in a southerly direction.

 

Ashfield Road, Cheadle (North of Whitegates Road) – No Waiting at Any Time

 

West Side – From the intersection of the northern kerb line of Whitegates Road, for a distance of 20 metres in a northerly direction.

 

East Side – From the intersection of the northern kerb line of Whitegates Road, for a distance of 25 metres in a northerly direction.

 

(2) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
