To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

 

The report sets out a proposal to revoke the Pay and Display parking on the lower level of Stopford House car park, introduce staff permit parking between Mondays – Fridays, and reintroduce pay and display parking on Saturdays and Sundays.

.

The Area Committee is recommended to approve the following proposals:-

 

·         to revoke Pay and Display parking on the lower level of Stopford House car park and consequently approve the legal advertising of the removal of the reference to Stopford House Lower Level in Schedule 1 to the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport (Off-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2005.

·         to introduce staff permit parking on the lower level of Stopford House (Mon – Fri) and reintroduce pay and display parking on Saturdays and Sundays.

·         in the event that no objections are received to the proposals, to authorise the making of an order reflecting these proposals.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) setting out a proposal to revoke the Pay and Display parking on the lower level of the Stopford House car park, Stockport, introduce staff permit parking between Mondays-Fridays, and reintroduce pay and display parking on Saturdays and Sundays.

 

RESOLVED – (1) That Pay and Display parking on the lower level of the Stopford House car park be revoked and the Area Committee be minded to approve the legal advertising of the removal of the reference to the Stopford House Lower Level in Schedule 1 to the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport (Off-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2005.

 

(2) That staff permit parking on the lower level of Stopford House (Monday – Friday) be introduced and pay and display parking reintroduced on Saturdays and Sundays.

 

(3) That the Area Committee be minded to approve a Traffic Regulation Order reflecting these proposals and approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
