To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

 

The report sets out the result of an investigation into the difficulties caused by parked vehicles at the junctions of Bishop Street with Turncroft Lane and Dalby Street.

 

The Area Committee is requested to approve the statutory legal advertising of a No Waiting At Any Time Traffic Regulation Order on Bishop Street, Dalby Grove and Turncroft Lane, Stockport and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the result of an investigation into the difficulties caused by parked vehicles at the junctions of Bishop Street with Turncroft Lane and Dalby Street, Stockport.

 

RESOLVED– (1) That the Area Committee be minded to approve the following No Waiting At Any Time Traffic Regulation Order on Bishop Street, Dalby Grove and Turncroft Lane, Stockport at an approximate cost of £650 to be funded from the Town Centre Access Package and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Orders be made:-

 

Proposed Traffic Regulation Order No Waiting At Any Time

 

Bishop Street, both sides - from the northerly kerbline of Turncroft Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction

 

Bishop Street, east side - from a point 10 metres south east of the southerly kerbline of Dalby Grove to a point 10 metres north west of the northerly kerbline of Dalby Grove.

 

Dalby Grove, both sides -from the easterly kerbline of Bishop Street for a distance of 10 metres in a north easterly direction.

 

Turncroft Lane, north side - from a point approximately 10 metres north east of the easterly kerbline of Bishop Street to a point approximately 17.5 metres south west of the westerly kerbline of Bishop Street (to tie in with existing No Waiting At Any Tiime and permit holders only).

 

(2) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made
