To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration.

 

The report sets out an application from Stockport County Supporters Co-operative who have applied to hold their Stockport Hatters Half Marathon along the Trans Pennine Trail at Mersey Vale on Sunday 3rd September 2017 between 9.00am and 12.30pm.

 

The report will also be considered by the Heatons and Reddish Area Committee at its meeting to be held on 30 January 2017.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to approve the application, subject to the organiser obtaining appropriate papers, event plans, health and safety documentation, licences and/or insurances.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) regarding an application from Stockport County Supporters Co-operative to hold its annual half marathon event and the use of the Trans Pennine Trail between Woolpack Bridge through Mersey Vale and on into Manchester on Sunday 3 September 2017.

 

The application had been approved by the Heatons and Reddish Area Committee at its meeting held on 30 January 2017.

 

RESOLVED – That the application from Stockport County Supporters Co-operative to hold its annual half marathon event and the use of the Trans Pennine Trail between Woolpack Bridge through Mersey Vale and on into Manchester on Sunday 3 September 2017 be approved, subject to the organiser obtaining appropriate papers, event plans, health and safety documentation, licences and/or insurances.
