To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration.

 

The report details commuted sums received by the Council from housing developers toward the cost of play provision. The Area Committee’s approval is sought for the allocation of these sums.

 

The report also sets out the criteria that must be used in allocating sums for play provision.

 

The Area Committee is requested to approve the allocation of the commuted sums for play provision detailed in the report.

Minutes:

A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) requesting the Area Committee to consider the use of commuted sums for play provision in the Central Stockport area and approve the location of the play areas where these sums are to be spent.

 

RESOLVED – That the following allocation of commuted sums for play provision in the Central Stockport area be approved:-

 

·         the use of £9,029.72 from development no. 1209 (DC061622, Bulkeley Street) to Shaw Heath Park.

·         the use of £10,038.60 from development no. 1250 (DC061220, vacant land on corner of Turncroft Lane and Edwin Street) to Woodbank Park.

·         the use of £1,003.92 from development no. 1230 (DC060396, 1 Maple Close, Heaviley) to Great Moor Park.
