To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

 

 The report sets out the result of consultation with the residents concerned with regard to supporting a move to a chargeable Permit Parking scheme.

 

The Area Committee is requested to approve the statutory legal advertising of a Traffic Regulation Order for Resident Permit Holders Only on Upper Brook Street. and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the result of consultation with the residents concerned on Upper Brook Street, Stockport with regard to supporting a move to a chargeable Permit Parking scheme.

 

RESOLVED – (1) That the Area Committee be minded to approve the following Traffic Regulation Order on Upper Brook Street, Stockport at an approximate cost of £950 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Brinnington and Central Ward allocation):-

 

Proposed Revocation of all existing Traffic Regulation Orders for waiting restrictions as follows:-

 

Upper Brook Street -  north west side from its junction with Waterloo Road to the projected north easterly kerbline of Gorsey Brow.

 

Upper Brook Street - south east side from the north easterly kerbline of Gorsey Mount Street for a distance of approximately 60 metres.

 

Gorsey Brow - west Side from the southerly kerbline of Upper Brook Street for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction

 

Proposed Resident Permit Holders Only

 

Upper Brook Street - north west side from a point approximately 45 metres

North East of the South Easterly kerbline of Waterloo Road for a distance of

approximately forty metres in a north easterly direction.

 

Upper Brook Street - south east side from a point 2 metres north east of the easterly kerbline of Gorsey Mount Street for a distance of approximately forty nine metres in a north easterly direction

 

Proposed No Waiting At Any Time

 

Upper Brook Street - north west side, from the south easterly kerbline of Waterloo Road for a distance of approximately forty five metres in a north easterly direction and from the projected north easterly kerbline of Gorsey Brow for a distance of approximately 41 metres in a south westerly direction.

 

Upper Brook Street - south east side from the easterly kerbline of Gorsey Mount Street for a distance of 2 metres in a north easterly direction and from the south westerly kerbline of Gorsey Brow for a distance of approximately 20 metres in a south westerly direction.

 

Gorsey Brow - west side from the southerly kerbline of Upper Brook Street for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction.

 

(2) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
