To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

 

The report sets out the results of an investigation into parking issues around the Hawthorm Road/Cedar Road/Burnside Road junction, caused mainly by parents dropping off/picking up their children attending Gatley Primary School.

 

The Area Committee is requested to approve the statutory legal advertising of the No Waiting At Any Time Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the results of an investigation into parking issues around the Hawthorn Road/Cedar Road/Burnside Road junction, caused mainly by Parents dropping off/picking up their children attending Gatley Primary School.

 

RESOLVED – (1) That the Area Committee be minded to approve the following No Waiting At Any Time Traffic Regulation Order on Hawthorn Road, Cedar Road and Burnside Road, Gatley, at an approximate cost of £650 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Cheadle and Gatley Ward allocation):-

 

Proposed Traffic Regulation Order - Schedule

           

Hawthorn Road, Gatley – No Waiting at Any Time

 

North side – From a point 11 metres west of the intersection of the western kerb line of Cedar Road, to a point 14.5 metres east of the intersection of the eastern kerb line of Cedar Road.

 

South side – From a point 13.50 metres, west of the intersection of the western kerb line of Burnside Road, to a point 11.50 metres east of the intersection of the eastern kerb line of Burnside Road.

 

Cedar Road, Gatley – No Waiting at Any Time

 

Both sides – From the intersection of the northern kerb line of Hawthorn Road, for a distance of 12 metres in a northerly direction.

           

Burnside Road, Gatley – No Waiting at Any Time

 

Both sides – From the intersection of the southern kerb line of Hawthorn Road, for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.

 

(2) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
