To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

 

The report sets out the results of an investigation into problems of residents on Wood Street entering and leaving their properties due to vehicles parking in front of their properties.

 

The Area Committee is requested approve the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order set out in the report and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the results of an investigation into problems of residents on Wood Street, Cheadle entering and leaving their properties due to vehicles parking in front of their properties.

 

RESOLVED – (1) That the Area Committee be minded to approve the following Traffic Regulation  Order on Wood Street, Cheadle, at an approximate cost of £900 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Cheadle and Gatley Ward allocation):-

 

Revoke Existing Traffic Regulation Order

Church Street, Cheadle - both sides for the entire length.

 

Wood Street, Cheadle - south side, from the intersection of the eastern kerb line of Church Street, for a distance of 11 metres in a north easterly direction.

 

No Waiting Monday to Saturday 8.00am to 6.00pm

 

Wood Street, Cheadle- south side, from a point 11 metres north east of the intersection of the eastern kerb line of Church Street, for a distance of 39 metres.

 

Wood Street, Cheadle - north side, from the intersection of the eastern kerb line line of Church Street to the intersection of the western kerb line of Chandley Street.

 

Lime Grove, Cheadle – south side, from the intersection of the eastern kerb line of Church Street to the intersection of the western kerb line of Mary’s Street.

 

Lime Grove, Cheadle - east side, from a point 1.6 metres north of the intersection of the southern kerb line of Hall Street heading in south east direction, then a north easterly direction to Mary’s Street.

 

Chandley Street, Cheadle- west side, from the intersection of the southern kerb line of Lime Grove for a distance of 4 metres in a south easterly direction.

(2) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
