To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

The report sets out the results of an investigation into the problems at the junction of Brystan Gardens/A34 Kingsway, Gatley caused by parked vehicles causing an obstruction, together with reduced highway visibility creating a hazard.

The Area Committee is requested to approve the statutory legal advertising of the No Waiting At any Time Traffic Regulation Order at Braystan Gardens/A34 Kingsway, Gatley, as set out in the report, and, subject to no objections being received within the statutory period, the Order can be made.

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) setting out the results of an investigation into the problems at the junction of Braystan Gardens/A34 Kingsway, Gatley caused by parked vehicles causing an obstruction, together with reduced highway visibility creating a hazard.

RESOLVED - That the Area Committee be minded to approve a No Waiting At Any Time Traffic Regulation Order on Braystan Gardens/A34 Kingsway, Gatley at an approximate cost of £700 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Cheadle and Gatley Ward allocation):-

A34 Kingsway, Gatley – No Waiting at Any Time

West Side – From a point 11.5 metres south of the intersection of the southern kerb line of Braystan Gardens, to a point 10 metres north of the northern kerb line of Braystan Gardens.

Braystan Gardens, Gatley – No Waiting at Any Time

Both Sides – From the intersection of the western kerb line of the A34 Kingsway, for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction.

Kingsway (Off Braystan Gardens), Gatley – No Waiting at Any Time

West Side – From the intersection of the northern kerb line of Braystan Gardens, for a distance of 15 metres in a northerly direction.

East Side – From the intersection of the northern kerb line of Braystan Gardens, for a distance of 12 metres in a northerly direction.

(2) That approval be given to the statutory legal advertising of the Traffic Regulation Order and, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
