To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration

The report considers the findings of an investigation into the difficulties caused by parked vehicles at the junction of Charlotte Street and Carrington Road, Portwood.

The Area Committee is requested to consider the conclusions and recommendations in paragraph 4.1 of the report.

A representative of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) regarding the results of an investigation into the difficulties caused by parked vehicles at the junction of Charlotte Street with Carrington Road, Portwood.

 

RESOLVED – (1) That the Executive Councillor (Communities and Housing) be requested to approve the legal advertising of the following No Waiting At any Time Traffic Regulation Order at an approximate cost of £600 to be funded from the Executive Highways budget :-

 

Proposed Traffic Regulation Order – No Waiting At Any Time

 

Charlotte Street - both sides from the northerly kerbline of Carrington Road for a distance of 5 metres in a northerly direction.

 

Carrington Road - north side from a point 10 metres east of the easterly kerbline of Charlotte Street to a point 10 metres west of the westerly kerbline of Charlotte Street.

 

Brinnington Road - south east side from the south westerly kerbline of Goyt Road for a distance of approximately 235 metres in a south westerly direction and from the north easterly kerbline of St Pauls Street for a distance of approximately 8 metres in a north easterly direction.

 

Goyt Road - south west side from the south easterly kerbline of Brinnington Road for a distance of approximately 10 metres in a south easterly direction.

 

Gill Street - both sides from the south easterly kerbline of Brinnington Road for a distance of approximately 10 metres in a south easterly direction.

 

Dawson Street - both sides from the south easterly kerbline of Brinnington Road for a distance of approximately 10 metres in a south easterly direction.

 

St Pauls Street - both sides from the south easterly kerbline of Brinnington Road for a distance of approximately 10 metres in a south easterly direction.

 

(2) That, subject to no objections being received within twenty one days from the advertisement date, the Order be made.
