To consider a report of the Deputy Director for Public Health.

The report provides an overview of the local programme including

·         The background to the local programme

·         The evidence base

·         The eligibility criteria

·         The delivery of the local programme and support provided

·         Key strengths and challenges

The Scrutiny Committee are invited to consider and comment on the report.

The Deputy Director of Public Health submitted a report (copies of which had been circulated) providing an overview of the local programme including:-

·         The background to the local programme

·         The evidence base

·         The eligibility criteria

·         The delivery of the local programme and support provided

·         Key strengths and challenges.

The following comments were made/issues raised.

·         Councillors noted that a local FNP Advisory Board was in operation which monitored the performance of the local programme.

·         Clients came from all areas of Stockport, although there were proportionally more from the boroughs more deprived areas. The programme was now full and there would now be a period when access to the programme was very limited.

·         Councillors welcomed the programme and an excellent piece of work which helped to meet the needs of some highly vulnerable families in the borough.

RESOLVED – That the report be noted.
