Members of the public are invited to put questions to the Chair any matters within the powers and duties of the Ward Committee, subject to the exclusions set out in the Code of Practice.  (Questions must be submitted prior to the commencement of the meeting on the card provided.  These are available at the meeting. The Chair reported that two questions had been submitted by a member of the public who was not present at the meeting. He confirmed that in accordance with the Code of Practice a written response would be provided.

One question was submitted in relation to the occupation of a car park in Reddish Vale Country Park by travellers.

A representative of the Chief Executive advised that the occupation of the land had been permitted on a temporary basis and that the travellers were no longer on the site.

One question was submitted in relation to vandalism of barriers at the Brindale Road entrance to Reddish Vale Country Park.

RESOLVED – That representatives of Greater Manchester Police be invited to attend the next Committee to discuss this issue.

One question was submitted in relation to potential funding for signage on entrances to Reddish Vale Country Park.

RESOLVED – That Jane Bardsley be requested to liaise with Ward Councillors regarding the potential use of the Highway Maintenance and Local Initiatives Delegated Budget for the signage works and report back to the next meeting.
