To consider a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration

 

The report seeks authorisation to formalise the existing advisory School Keep Clear Markings on Chapel Street with a Traffic Regulation Order. These proposals have been developed in response to concerns about safety in the vicinity of the Hazel Grove Primary School.

 

The Area Committee is recommended to approve the following Traffic Regulation Order, at a cost of £1,700 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Highway Maintenance and Traffic Management Delegated Budget (Hazel Grove Ward allocation):-

 

No Stopping Monday to Friday 8am – 9.30am & 3pm – 4pm on School Markings:

 

Chapel Street

 

East side from a point 9 metres North of the (projected) Northerly kerb line of Grove Street for a distance of 25.56 metres in a Northerly direction.

 

East side from a point 10 metres South of the (projected) Southerly kerb line of Grove Street for a distance of 25.56 metres in a Southerly direction.

Minutes:

A representative of the Democratic Services Manager submitted a report of the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration (copies of which had been circulated) requesting the Area Committee to give consideration to formalising the existing School Keep Clear Markings on Chapel Street through the introduction of a traffic regulation order.

 

RESOLVED – That the following be approved at an approximate cost of £1,300 to be funded via the Highway Maintenance and Local Initiatives delegated budget(Hazel Grove ward allocation) :-
