Decision:

The Cabinet Member for Resources, Commissioning & Governance has considered a report that confirmed from 26 October 2020 the approved investment will be spent to enable vouchers to be distributed during October half term.

The national extended Free School Meals holiday scheme has not been extended for the October half term. In recognition of the acute levels of need many families are experiencing as a result of Covid-19 and associated financial insecurity this decision outlines an approach to providing an extended free school meals voucher offer for those families in receipt of means tested free school meals across Stockport.

The investment will be used in accordance with the following allocations:

·         Purchase a £15 supermarket voucher for each child or young person in receipt of means tested FSM

The Cabinet Member for Resources, Commissioning & Governance has then given approval to the approach outlined in the report identifying proposals for the Free School Meals Emergency Food Vouchers.
