Decision details

The Cabinet Member for Communities & Housing approved the amendments to the Consolidation Order 2010 for the purpose of enforcement of School Keep Clears in compliance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 and in accordance with Road Safety Around Schools ambitions.

These amendments to the Consolidation Order 2010 require the following actions:-

·         Articles 8 and 9 under the heading ‘Prohibition of stopping’ on page 10 – remove text ‘Articles 15, 16, 17 and 18’ and replace with text ‘Article 15A’.

·         Article 15 under the heading ‘Exemptions’ on page 11 – remove text ‘Articles 8, 9, 10 10A and 11’ and replace with text ‘Articles 10 10A and 11’.

·         Introduce new Article 15A under the heading ‘Exemptions’

These actions will require the removal of Articles 8, 9 and 15 from Appendix A – Consolidation Order 2010’ and replace with Articles 8, 9 15 and 15A from ‘Appendix B – Consolidation Order 2010 – Amendments to Pages 10, 11 and 12’.
