Decision details

The Cabinet Member for Communities & Housing has given approval to the proposals detailed within paragraphs 2.6 and 2.9 of the report and the legal advertising of the associated traffic regulation orders contained in Appendix A to the report and, subject to no objections being received within 21 days from the advertisement, date the subsequent making of the orders.

The Cabinet Member has further noted the comments and concern of the Werneth Area Committee in relation to that element of the scheme that proposed the removal of the ‘No Cycling’ traffic regulation order within the passageway between Green Lane and Padden Brook.   It has therefore been agreed that this should not at this stage be taken forward and that the Corporate Director for Place Management & Regeneration be requested to undertake further discussions with the Bredbury Green & Romiley ward spokespersons prior to a further report being submitted to the Werneth Area Committee in relation to this element of the scheme.
