Purpose:

The Executive will be invited to consider and agree the Stockport Together proposals for the transformation of the health and social care economy, including expansion of the pooled budgets with the Clinical Commissioning Group. The work taking place in Stockport is embedded within the wider transformation of health and social care taking place in Greater Manchester with the devolution of health spending to the Combined Authority. The Executive will also be invited to endorse the strategic vision for GM as set out in the draft ‘Taking Charge of our Health and Social Care in Greater Manchester‘ 5 year plan.

 

The proposals will be subject to consultation with a special joint meeting of the Adult Care Services & Housing, CRMG and Health & Wellbeing Scrutiny Committees on 10 March 2016.

Decision:

In accordance with the decision of the Executive made on 22 March 2016, the Corporate Director for Place and the Borough Treasurer, in consultation with the Executive Councillors (Adult Social Care), (Health) and (Reform & Governance) have approved and signed the finalised S75 Agreement for the pooling of budgets between the Council and Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group.
