Purpose:

The purposes of both policies are to set out how we will exercise our functions under the relevant Acts, i.e. the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005. We are required to review and publish the Licensing Policy every 5 years and Gambling Policy every 3 years.

Decision:

The Council Meeting has approved and adopted the Statement of Licensing Policy and the Gambling Policy as detailed in the report.

Councillor Brian Bagnall declared a personal interest as the holder of a Gambling Licence issued by the Gambling Commission.

 

Councillor Chris Murphy declared a personal interest as a Director of Brinnington Labour Club which had a premises licence.

 

Councillor Maureen Rowles declared a personal and prejudicial interest as a personal licence holder.
