Decision:

The Executive Meeting considered a proposal from the Independent Remuneration Panel to amend the Members’ Allowance Scheme to re-establish the position of Chair of the Employment Appeals Committee as a remunerated post within the Scheme, and has recommended to the Council Meeting that:

 

·         the SRA for the Chair of the Employment Appeals Committee should be set at a level of 8% of the Executive Leader’s SRA which computed to an indicative allowance of £2,284.99, being a reduction of 1.35% from the former amount;

·         the proposed allowance be backdated to 21 May 2013 in line with all other amendments to the Scheme introduced as part of its recommendations in September 2012;

·         the Independent Remuneration Panel be invited to reassess the allowance for the Chair of the Employment Appeals Committee in 12 months’ time.
