Purpose:

To report on the Scrutiny Review

Decision:

The Cabinet have agreed (1) That the Corporate Director for Place Management and Regeneration be requested to prepare a response to the Scrutiny review and the recommendations and action plan contained therein for consideration by the Cabinet.

 

(2) That as part of the Cabinet’s response the issue of land that may be contaminated be considered and how the increased cost of redeveloping former mills can be militated against and that the Lead Member for the Scrutiny Review be consulted on any recommendations.

 

(3) That the report be referred to the Housing Commission.

 

(4) That the gratitude of the Cabinet be recorded for the excellent work undertaken by members of the scrutiny review panel and supporting staff involved in the review.
