The Area Committee have approved the introduction of the following measures in the Kirkstead Road area of Cheadle Hulme to improve road safety, at a cost of £4,450 be funded from the Area Committee’s Highway Maintenance and Traffic Management Delegated Budget (Cheadle Hulme South ward allocation):

Fountains Road, Cheadle Hulme, north side, from a point 7 metres west of the westerly kerb line of Kirkstead Road for a distance of 5 metres in a westerly direction.

 

Fountains Road, Cheadle Hulme, north side, from a point 40 metres east of the easterly kerb line of Kirkstead Road for a distance of 20 metres in an easterly direction.

 

Fountains Road, Cheadle Hulme (Service Road adjacent to No. 58b), west side, from the northerly kerb line of Fountains Road for a distance of 11 metres in a northerly direction.

 

Fountains Road, Cheadle Hulme (Service Road adjacent to No. 58b), east side, from the northerly kerb line of Fountains Road for a distance of 15 metres in a northerly direction.

 

Kirkstead Road, Cheadle Hulme, east side, from a point 5 metres north of the northerly kerb line of the Fountains Road Service Road for a distance of 13 metres in a southerly then easterly direction (into Fountains Road Service Road).

 

Yew Tree Park Road, Cheadle Hulme, east side, from a point 9 metres north of the northerly kerb line of Kirkstead Road for a distance of 6.5 metres in a northerly direction.

           

Civil Engineering Works:

 

Kirkstead Road, Cheadle Hulme – construction of in-line dropped crossing with tactile paving.

 

Kirkstead Road, Cheadle Hulme, build-up of existing redundant dropped kerb to prevent vehicles accessing footway, install Morpeth Bollard adjacent to remaining existing dropped crossing.

 

Yew Tree Park Road, Cheadle Hulme, construction on in-line dropped crossing (no tactile paving).
