Purpose:

The Council is required to undertake a statutory review of polling districts and polling places to ensure that electors voting in person have accessible places to vote.

Decision:

The Executive Meeting has recommended to the Council Meeting approve proposed changes to Polling Districts and Polling Places as detailed in the report, but that the proposal to combine polling districts SF and SI not be proceeded with.

Alternative options considered:

To recommend that Polling Districts SF and SI be combined. Following representations from electors, it was suggested that this would not be expedient at this time.
