The Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways and Transport Services has given approval to the legal advertisement of the following package of traffic regulation orders and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders to be funded by way of a developer contribution:-

The Deputy Chief Executive has given the authority for the renewal of the lease with Tessuti Stores Limited at 72-74 Merseyway on the terms as outlined in the ‘not for publication’ report.

The Cabinet Member for Finance & Resources has given approval to the use of £10,000 from the Ward Discretionary Budget (Heald Green ward allocation) to alleviate parking problems at Greenway Road and surrounding roads in Heald Green and improve the safe movement of traffic and pedestrians, including undertaking investigations, site observations and the compilation of an options report for presentation at a future meeting of the Cheadle Area Committee.

The Area Committee has given approval to proposals to for the introduction of traffic calming measures (Vehicular Activated Sign (VAS) together with additional road markings) on Werneth Road, Woodley at a cost of £6,000 to be funded from the Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Bredbury and Woodley ward allocation).

The Cabinet Member for Finance & Resources has given approval to the use of £4,000 from the Ward Discretionary Budget (Bredbury & Woodley ward allocation) to fund the undertaking of a traffic survey by Transport for Greater Manchester to assess the volume of traffic leaving Woodley Leisure Centre via the residential areas around Mill Lane, Woodley.

The Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways & Transport Services has given approval to the making and sealing of the 20mph Speed Limit Order for the Heatons to Stockport Cycling Scheme as detailed in the attached report and accompanying drawings to be funded at an estimated cost of £65,000 from the Integrated Transport Block (ITB) Budget.

The Assistant Director for Legal & Democratic Governance has given approval to an application from Samaritans of Stockport & District for a total grant of £190.48 from the Ward Flexibility Fund budget (£47.62 from each of the Brinnington & Stockport Central, Davenport & Cale Green, Edgeley and Manor ward allocations) towards upgrading their telephone system, an advert in the Stockport County FC match programme and publicity materials to take to outreach events.

The ward councillors have been consulted on this grant allocation and are in agreement that it be made.

The Assistant Director for Legal & Democratic Governance has given approval to an application from BeOne Mindset CIC for a total grant of £525 from the Ward Flexibility Fund budget (£175 from each of the Brinnington & Stockport Central, Edgeley and Manor ward allocations) towards running costs for their online platform to ensure new content can be added when needed and continually updated to support the current needs of people in the Stockport area. Further, to support 40 local men who may have been referred for support to complete the BeOne Way programme (a 10-week mindset and self-development programme).

The ward councillors have been consulted on this grant allocation and are in agreement that it be made.

The Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways & Transport Services has given approval to the supply and installation of the additional ward boundary signage project as detailed in the attached report and accompanying drawings at a cost of £3,075 to be funded from the Heatons & Reddish Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (£2,050 from Heatons North ward allocation and £1,025 from Reddish South ward allocation).

The Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways & Transport Services has given approval to the designs associated with the Section A proposals to progress the detailed design and legal advertising of the associated Traffic Regulation Orders as detailed in Appendix A to the report and, subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders to be funded (subject to the approval of the business case by Transport for Greater Manchester) from the CRSTS fund, Network Rail and developer Section 106 contributions.

The Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways & Transport Services has given approval to the introduction of an Experimental Traffic Regulation order to provide Limited Waiting and Loading Bays in Stockport Town Centre as detailed in Appendix A of the attached report and associated plans, for a maximum period of 18 months to allow evaluation of the restrictions.

The Cabinet Member for Parks, Highways & Transport Services has given approval to the legal advertisement of the traffic regulations orders detailed in Appendix A to the report, and subject to the receipt of no objections within 21 days of the advertisement date, the subsequent making of the orders at a cost of £1,250 to be funded from the Cheadle Area Committee’s Delegated Budget (Heald Green ward allocation).
