The main purpose of the Fostering Panel is to make recommendations to the Service Director of Children’s Services (the agency decision maker) regarding the following matters:

·         Whether applicants are suitable for approval as foster carers

·         Future changes to a foster carer’s approval

·         Any serious concerns about a foster carer’s practice

·         Termination of approval

·         Reviews

·         Resignation
