The Automated vehicle update report is an update on the Innovate UK
funded Project Synergy which Stockport Council is currently
involved in. Project synergy is a proof of concept project which is
intended to further the development of automated vehicles as a
technology rather than providing a transport mode to the public at
the present time. Due to the nature of the project, developing new
technology, and the impact of COVID – 19 the project has been
extended from its previous expected deadline and is now expected to
conclude in 2021.
