Consultation process
The Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy will become a statutory requirement of the Health and Wellbeing Board, when the Health and Social Care Bill has been enacted. This includes a requirement to consult with people that live and work in Stockport.
There is a Health and Wellbeing event being planned for 1 March at the Town Hall, to which a wide range of partners, service providers, Stockport residents, carers and users of services will be invited to discuss and comment on the draft strategy. A number of smaller-scale consultations will also be run with existing groups.
Residents are welcome to attend the 1 March event. Please contact veronica.bland@stockport.gov.uk for more details and to register for the event.
The Strategy will be refined and finalised during March. Anyone wishing to comment on the draft Strategy is encouraged to do so before the end of March 2012, so that their views can be considered in a timely way. Please contact gill.walters@stockport.gov.uk if you wish to do this.
