Following the Full Council Meeting on 13th
September 2018, the Council launched its Charter against modern
slavery. This charter commits the Council to producing and
publishing a Modern Slavery Statement, which will be reviewed
annually. The Modern Slavery Statement will set out what the
Council is doing, and additional work it intends to do, to ensure
that its business and supply chains are not linked to modern
slavery.
Cabinet is therefore asked to approve a draft of the Council's
first Modern Slavery Statement, for 2019/20 for publication early
in 2019.
