Wards affected: (All Wards);

Notice of proposed decision first published: 25/09/2017

This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.

Reason for urgency:
The decision is needed urgently to ensure there are enough school places for September 2018 by expanding schools where possible and preventing closure of school buildings due to deterioration, therefore defending existing school capacity. The ability to carry out works is time critical if the Council is to fulfil its obligations to ensure there are sufficient places and that buildings are safe. If required to provider 28 Day's Notice, these obligations may not be met. The proposal has been subject to discussion at the Children and Families Scrutiny Committee on 20 September.
