Highways Reform – Proposed Shared Service

Purpose – The Highway & Engineering Investing in Stockport proposal puts forward £500k of savings from 2016/17. This report is to advise members of the work undertaken to date on the proposal to create a shared service for local highway services by a number of local authorities within GM in order to achieve this saving. This work is being developed by local authorities and Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM).
