Consultation process
The Strategy has been produced based on the feedback and issues raised by carers as part of an extensive consultation exercise with local people who have unpaid caring responsibilities. Feedback has been gained over a period of time with the following groups:
· The Big Care Debate
· Carers Voice Forum engagement event
· Mental Health Carers LIT
· Carers of Adults with a Disability (CALD)
· Carers Information Day
The draft strategy was presented to the July meeting of the Carer’s Voice Forum for comment (deadline for comment 16th August) and any changes they suggest will be incorporated into the final draft of the Strategy.
